Jonathan graduated from Columbia Business School in May 2012. Prior to business school, Jonathan worked in the International Capital Group at Jones Lang LaSalle where he advised foreign and domestic clients on more than $3 billion worth of transactions globally.
Before joining SquareFoot, Prithvi worked at a range of technology and product companies including Kitchensurfing, Zynga and Microsoft. Prithvi holds an MBA from Harvard and a bachelors in engineering from Princeton. In his spare time, he enjoys playing tennis, cooking and spending time with family.
Before SquareFoot Josh ran Strategy and Business Operations for Knewton, an education technology startup based in NYC. Prior to that he spent 6 years working in the financial sector focused on banking and market structure for Goldman Sachs and the New York Stock Exchange. He’s originally from the New York area, but if he’s not here enjoying live music he is usually traveling to weird countries to climb and explore.
A trained opera singer, Jenni obtained her Master’s of Music degree from Boston University, and graduated summa cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis with a degree in music and minors in Architecture and Women & Gender and Sexuality Studies. Prior to SquareFoot, Jenni held higher education administrative positions at Boston University and the University of Florida. She was also a camp counselor for a bunk of teenage girls which prepared her well for being office mom to a group of tech nerds.
Brandon began his career as a staff journalist for the Maine weekly The Coastal Journal. When he moved to New York he joined the product approval division of Peanuts Worldwide before shifting to a business development role with Sesame Workshop (Sesame Street). He subsequently joined content recommendation engine Outbrain, marketing its platform to brands and publishers in digital media. He currently resides in Brooklyn and enjoys pretending to be a foodie.
Growing up in the restaurant industry and later becoming an attorney, Arash found that commercial real estate was the perfect way to marry his service oriented background with the negotiating and advocacy skills he learned in law school. While helping clients is the focus of his week, the weekends are reserved for picking up new cooking skills, bourbon tastings, and the occasional dance battle.
Prior to joining SquareFoot, Jason Majlessi started his career in real estate as part of Jones Lang LaSalle’s Consulting and Advisory Group. As an analyst, he assisted both tenants and landlords with leasing, consulting, and valuation assignments. After spending a little over three years learning the ins and outs of complex real estate transactions, he joined one of JLL’s most active tenant rep teams as an Associate. Outside of real estate, Jason enjoys cooking and making rap music. He’s more than happy to grab a drink and tell you about that one time his band opened for The Roots.
Prior to joining SquareFoot, Matt was an Asset Manager at Colony Capital in Los Angeles, where he managed over $100mm of loans. Coming from a family with a history in real estate and having graduated from the Marshall School of Business at USC, he has been around real estate his whole life. When he’s not closing deals, he enjoys going to live music shows and being an avid sports fan, especially for the USC Trojans football and LA Dodgers teams. Most important of all, he is a champion Rock, Paper, Scissors player.
After graduating from The University of Georgia (and to her football fanatic friends’ disappointment, only sitting through one entire football game), Katherine began her career in commercial real estate at Cousins Properties in Atlanta, on a team responsible for an 8.7 million square feet Class A portfolio. In her spare time, you’ll find her sending snail mail to her friends near and far, searching for the best Bloody Mary in the city (findings tbd) and discovering the next trendy workout class.
Prior to joining SquareFoot, James was a commercial broker at Cushman & Wakefield in Los Angeles, where he worked as a broker handling Retail and Office Leasing. James followed in his father’s footsteps by attending UC Berkeley for undergraduate and working in commercial real estate. James is a fan of DJ’ing, playing tennis/working out, watching movies, going to live shows, and spontaneous adventures with his friends.
Before joining SquareFoot, Oliver graduated from Colgate University and started his career at another real estate tech company, PivotDesk. At PivotDesk, he was the fourth NYC hire and helped build the sales team. He grew up in Boston and is your standard obnoxious Boston sports fan. In his free time, he likes to play soccer, go to concerts, and go skiing. He also loves to travel and backpacked in Asia after college.
Steven started his career at WeWork, in their original SoHo office. as the Senior Community Manager, and was responsible for all building operations. He attended college in Manhattan, and growing up just outside NYC, he could never imagine living anywhere else. Aside from work, Steven is a sports junkie/nerd, and hails his allegiances to the New York Mets and the Michigan Wolverines Football team. He also ‘thinks’ he can cook. You’ll have to be the judge.
Prior to joining SquareFoot, James worked for five years in the Portfolio Project Management team at MUFG Union Bank. He attended Penn State University where he was a member of the Army ROTC program. He is still an active member of the Army National Guard. Outside of work, James enjoys live music, whiskey, and anything sports related (especially MMA & boxing).
Having studied linguistics in school, Dan speaks 4 foreign languages and won’t turn you down if you’re intested in having a discussion on the finer points of phonology or linguistic typology. In his free time Dan enjoys writing code, riding his motorcycle, and avoiding parking tickets.
Josh has worked on systems ranging from specialized modules for Federal Procurements systems to embedded firmware for custom medical devices. Mobile captured his heart back in the early days, and he continues to love working on products that bring incredible power to customer fingertips, no matter where they are. Josh has been leading teams of iOS and Ruby developers since 2009, most recently before joining SquareFoot he headed up the NYC engineering team of an iPad point of sale company. When he’s not coding you might find him riding his bike or throwing a dinner party.
Jack began his career as a broker at Cushman & Wakefield where he focused on both tenant and landlord representation and worked with multiple Fortune 500 Companies. Prior to joining SquareFoot he spent 3 years at Ten-x in business development working with brokers, private owners and institutions to sell commercial real estate through the Ten-x platform. Jack received a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from Columbia University and a B.A. in History from Middlebury College, where he was also a four-year member of the Men’s Ice Hockey and Golf Teams. Jack resides in Bedford, NY with his wife and two kids. Enjoys playing pick-up hockey, golf and anything else that involves being outside.
Leo survived the cold climate of Russia as well as the ongoing challenges of parenthood. He comes to SquareFoot bringing expertise in server side web development. Prior to joining SquareFoot, Leo worked for a large publishing company as well as some small bootstrapping startups. Outside of work you may find Leo in a theater or spot him hiking the Bear mountains of New York.
ZongDong is currently pursuing his degree in Business Analytics at National University of Singapore. He is passionate about traveling and loves to get to know the locals in every city he visits. His wish is to travel to as many countries as possible. Apart from traveling he is also a fan of Manchester United and LA.Lakers!
