David joined SquareFoot’s Los Angeles office in 2021 as an Executive Managing Director. He brings 24 years of experience in commercial real estate to SquareFoot, with the bulk of his career spent in leadership positions at CRE giant Savills Studley. He represents companies on a local and global level to help them fulfill their real estate needs. He provides solutions, proven strategies, and a dedicated work ethic in solving the most complex real estate related issues.
David is an expert at creating long-term real estate cost savings, negotiating, tenant contract flexibility, and managing the intricate details required of any lease transaction. He has successfully represented a wide array of clients in the technology, gaming, entertainment, engineering, publishing, insurance, non-profit and medical sectors.
Among the skills that David brings to his clients are strategic real estate planning, leveraged lease contract negotiations, disposition and exit strategies, lease administration services, operating expense recovery, industry benchmarking, technology acumen, and portfolio and process management. Since starting his commercial real estate career in 1997, David has negotiated more than 12 million square feet of office space and closed on transactions with a value in excess of $1.5 billion.
David grew up in Ann Arbor Michigan and moved to Los Angeles to attend CSU Northridge, where he received a Bachelors in Engineering. When not in the office, David enjoys skiing, mountain biking, and traveling.
