I’m happy to share that Steve Walbridge, a longtime colleague of mine, has become a full-time member of the SquareFoot team. Steve’s joining is a testament to both the power of the company mission and the widespread belief among veteran CRE brokers that innovation and structural changes in the industry are long overdue.
During his 40+ year career in commercial real estate, Steve has executed more than 16 million square feet in real estate transactions. His prolific resume includes leadership roles at Savills (where SquareFoot broker David Kimball and I first worked with him – Steve was also a board member with me), Lincoln Property Company, and Cushman & Wakefield. At SquareFoot, Steve will leverage his industry expertise to build out our West Coast presence and develop our broker automation initiative, which aims to boost speed, efficiency, and the tenant experience at all stages of the leasing process. We are also fortunate to have the opportunity to tap into Steve’s professional experience as a developer and general contractor.
While consulting at SquareFoot, Steve has been able to leverage SquareFoot’s tools and resources to execute major transactions for several companies, the most notable of which include Lulu’s, Intelerad, and California Resources Corporation.
A strong believer in SquareFoot’s mission to bring transparency and efficiency to an industry that has historically lacked both, Steve says of his transition: “The way people search for office space has evolved dramatically. I’ve witnessed that evolution over my 40-year career, and I want to be a part of the solution that responds to that shift. That solution starts with technology at each step of the client journey.”
