Where to Put an Office in Frankfurt: Districts by Company Type (2026)
October 10, 2026 | by Michael Monday
Frankfurt has a district for every kind of company, and the choice sets the price, the commute and who your neighbours are. The table below describes each district. SquareFoot is adding Frankfurt operators now; live listings for Frankfurt will appear on the markets page as they are collected.
The banking district between the Hauptwache and the Main: banks, funds and law firms in the towers, and the most expensive serviced offices in Germany outside Munich.
Westend
Asset managers, law firms and consultancies in villas and towers west of the centre, with the Opernplatz and Westend towers at its core.
Innenstadt
The retail and business core around Zeil and Hauptwache: professional services and corporates in older stock at lower rents than the towers.
Bahnhofsviertel
The station district: a mixed, fast-changing area with new coworking and lower rents next to the main station and the ICE connections.
Europaviertel
A new district on the former freight yard west of the station: corporate offices, the Messe and the Skyline Plaza towers.
Ostend
The ECB’s district east of the centre: fintech, consultancies and creative companies in converted industrial buildings around Hanauer Landstraße.
Sachsenhausen
South of the Main: agencies, publishers and the companies that want a short walk to the centre at lower rents.
Niederrad
The Bürostadt Niederrad office park by the airport motorway: large floorplates for back offices and corporates at the lowest central rents.
Eschborn
A business park on the city’s western edge with its own lower trade-tax rate, favoured by corporates and tech companies with large headcounts.
How to choose
Three questions settle most searches. Where do the people you need to see sit, clients, investors, a partner firm, a university? Where do the people you need to hire live, and which district do they already commute to? And how much of the monthly budget is the address worth: in most cities the same team pays materially more for the prestige district than for the one next to it. Frankfurt is no exception, which is why the live listings are sorted by price with the district on every card.
