At SquareFoot, we’ve believed that flexible spaces are an integral part of the future of work for several years, and have been leaning into it with our product offerings including our acquisition of PivotDesk and our launch of FLEX by SquareFoot.
I’m thrilled to announce that we’re continuing to broaden and deepen the suite of products and services we offer SquareFoot clients with our acquisition of Upsuite–a marketplace of coworking and flex offices.
Despite what you might have read, offices aren’t going anywhere.
On the contrary, COVID has only accelerated the trends we were already seeing. Furthermore, the variety of options available to companies has exploded. Gone are the days when the only variable was, “do you want a five-year or a ten-year lease?”
Not only has the variety of options changed, but also tenant’s needs have changed. The ideal real estate solution for many companies will include offices in multiple cities including, for example, a coworking solution for five people in Belfast, sharing space with another company in LA, and 8,000 square feet in NYC.
Oh yeah, that’s what our real estate footprint looks like at SquareFoot. And also what we are seeing our clients looking for on a daily basis.
I first got to know Ben Wright, the Founder and CEO of Upsuite, at the end of 2019 when we were introduced by our friend David Mandel, a board member of Upsuite.
Ben and I spent a bunch of time together at the beginning of 2020 and the more we spoke the more we realized that we saw the changes afoot in our industry in the same light.
During the last year, SquareFoot and Upsuite continued to deepen our partnership and ultimately Ben and our team came to the conclusion that our futures would be brighter together.
By joining with Upsuite, SquareFoot gets another arrow in our quiver; one more tool to deliver solutions to our clients. By joining with SquareFoot, Upsuite gets to leverage our best-in-the-business marketing, technology, and brokerage talent.
We’ve been working together a few weeks now and we’re already seeing the benefits.
