SquareFoot is Southbound

I’m thrilled to announce that Atlanta-based Transcend, led by Patrick Braswell, is now part of SquareFoot.

Our southern expansion follows our launches earlier this year in Houston and Los Angeles, as well as our recent acquisition of Upsuite.

I first got to know Patrick almost 10 years ago when he was building his own PropTech company called TenEight. Note that this was well before “PropTech” was a word. And full disclosure, it wasn’t until fairly recently that I realized that TenEight sounds like “tenant.”

Patrick built that for a few years and ultimately exited to RealNex. After RealNex, he went back to brokerage, leveraging technology to make the process better for both brokers and tenants (sound familiar?).

And now he’s bringing all of that experience here.

Patrick will own our Southeast rollout, starting with Atlanta, where he’s been in real estate for most of the last 20 years. We will be expanding to Nashville shortly as well. Look for some more flags to be planted down there too.
